I wondered why YOU invented this model when there are so many others around?

And what was it that inspired you to do that?

Finally, what is the difference between 'inventing' a model and 'developing' a model that you also mentioned?

William,

Last things first in this case. The difference between "inventing" and "developing" ... language, that's all.

Next, I "invented" this model to fill in a major gap I perceived with the intention of providing an incredibily specific and precise tool to fill it - and the feedback I've gotten is that it has - but the truth is mostly I did it for myself and my own use with clients and I knew that already.

What inspired me is that to my knowledge there is no other model which organizes the consulting process around a purely positive orientation that is teleologically (future) based.

What the Satisfaction Cycle(tm) does uniquely is creates a solution based in the future oriented position in-spite of contradictory evidence in the past, with the attendant markers to create the outcome that's desired. What ramps up the value of the model substantially is that it does this in a recursive way where the end is the beginning point. Finally, as though I needed even more evidence to substantiate it, the model is the only model I know that literally never addresses the "problem state" to get to the "solution" - this makes it a purely "intentional" model.

I hope that clarifies it suitably for you. There's a layout and more infomation on the Satisfaction Cycle(tm) at http://www.jsri.com if you're really interested. If after you've looked at it again and read the notes there you have more questions or comments I'd be more than happy to address them with you.

Thanks,

Joseph

**QUESTION FOR JOSEPH - Goals*

Hi Jo,

Your morning audio blog today - and what you mentioned about GOALS - sent my mind in a direction and I have a question:

Have you heard of the Silva Method?

This involes going into an ALPHA STATE in order to make your visualizations/GOALS etc more effective.

DO YOU THINK that this proccess is a uselful one? What has been your experience with it in terms of seeing 'future events' that haven't happened YET??

Roy,

I've heard of the Silva Mind Control method, and actually know little about it and tend to see it as a well-formed hypnotic technique. But as I say, I know very little about it so my opinion has the same value regarding it - very little.

Regarding the idea of visualizing your "outcomes" (which for me are very, very different from goals - which at some future point I may delineate with greater precision) is of great value. What's of even greater value is to learn to access the "experience" of having the outcomes already. This is the essential "technique" of the "Trajectory of Intent" process that I've begun to delineate here.

If you want a more specific instructions I'd recommend you get a copy of "Beyond the Obvious" my CD on the Exquisite Performance Coaching/Consulting process at:

http://www.appliednlp.com/onlinestore.asp

This CD covers moving the "experience" into a somatic stored memory. This is about how to develop the experience of the outcome so that you know on a somatic level what the experience "feels" like so that it becomes a "reference experience" for you as you move to attaining that outcome.

In this way it then becomes like a beacon to direct you towards and away from what serves you and what doesn't. This will happen instantly and effortlessly when you have this kind of somatic memory in place.

Once again the CD you want is "Beyond the Obvious" at:

http://www.appliednlp.com/onlinestore.asp

Thanks for the question I hope my explanation is useful to you.

Best regards,

Joseph
