Thankyou Joseph for answering my question. It makes sense.
Please would you take the time to answer two subsequent questions that I have come to want known following your answer.
1) Are Bandler's stories really true? (and if they are not, what is the value in recounting fictitious annecdotes?)
2) You mentioned before that you didn't believe in the "unconscious". So what is it about this term that you do not believe in and what do you believe instead of this.
I really would appreciate your answers to these questions Joseph...I'm counting on you to help put some missing pieces (im ny mind) together.
With Warm Regards.
I await your kind response.

For some reason unable to download the feeds onto iTunes, has the adress for the feeds changed?
Thanks
Dr. Willis,
Of course, I am not Joseph and certainly cannot speak for him, but I'm wondering why it matters to you if Richard's stories are "really true"?
Have you no sense of literature? Of poetry? Of story? Or adventure?
Sometimes the "truth" of a story lies in its *meaning* -- not in whether the "facts" are actually accurate, or not.
Have you ever heard of a parable? Or a fairytale, even?
Can you imagine -- even for a second -- that there might be _value_ in the meanings those tales impart? That is, over and above the accuracy of the "facts" involved?
Just some things to think about. Because, I too, value TRUTH. But I know that TRUTH comes in many shapes and sizes.
Take care,
Venus
